Who do we work with?

People for People

We enjoy working with this organization. Their mission is to help as many people in need as possible, regardless of their background. For example, they provided assistance in Turkey and Morocco after the earthquakes.

In the Netherlands, they respond to the distressing situations in Dutch shelters with concrete actions. In particular, the ’unaccompanied minors’, young people between the ages of 14 and 18 who have come here without family, have their attention. Regularly we (newcomers, volunteers and employees of p4p) go to an AZC or an (emergency) location and offer a fun day with sports and games, a delicious lunch, attention and cheerfulness: a great success! In addition, local organizations and sports clubs are also invited to these days so that mutual contact can be made and relationships can be created so that the boys can also benefit from that contact after such a People for People day. Through this work we meet many new people.

 Moving Stones

We have been part of the Moving Stones foundation for a number of years. This organization focuses mainly on refugees in Calais and Dunkirk. In the hope of crossing to England, hundreds of people live on the streets and in the bushes, under the most severe circumstances without any facilities. We collected sleeping bags, tents, blankets and clothing for them and took them there. Sanne van Alphen still does that great work.
